The Revolver lug loader is capable of speeds of 200+ LPM in studmill applications. The Revolver is suitable for retrofit and new installations in sawmills, planermills, and reman plants.
Since the Revolver’s debut in 1997, the many successful installations and satisfied customers have proven the machine’s value in the field. It is engineered to accommodate a wide range of products for sawmill applications.
The Revolver uses no hydraulics. The design is disc style, requiring pneumatic cylinder actuation only to engage of disengage board feeding, thus reducing wear components. Infeed and outfeed chains can be kept at the same elevation allowing a safe, efficient continuous walkway level. Overhead infeed belts are easily adjusted for wood thickness and easily adjusted for wood thickness and easily lifted for ease of access. The optional pogo stick attachment assists in positively accelerating thin boards when the Revolver is set for 4” material. It can be easily disengaged when not required.
Electronics are very simple. A dedicated micro-controller based system operates the Revolver lug loader, lug loader table, and backlog table, and up to two additional storage tables. The controls are self-contained in an enclosure c/w operator push buttons and LCD/keypad operator interface for setting timers and VFD speed adjustment.
An encoder mounted on the Revolver provides the trimmer/sorter speed reference used to dynamically control and scale the speeds of the infeed transfers, to maximize material throughput. The encoder’s marker output provides the timing signal to operate the Revolver lug loader enable solenoid.
